What the hell are you doing for 30+ minutes??  The ONLY excuse to be in there that long is is A. There is an attractive person in there with you   B. You just came out of the woods after a few weeks.

edit-  With regards to A.   A tankless water heater is the best purchase I ever made.

[#21]
How many beers do I have?  If none, 5-7 would be about right probably closer to 7.

I've never timed it. I'd guess 10 minutes, but that's all it is. A guess.

Normally about five minutes. Lately it's been closer to 15 minutes since my 2 year old boy keeps jumping in with me and hogging the water while saying "oh no, rain".

I don't think you are asking the right question there, OP.

I think the question should be, "How long is your average FAP? Answer that and you will answer the shower question.

This. With the other answer being, "until the hot water runs out."

I remember once in basic the entire PLT showered in 3 minutes. The first stall was for getting wet, second was to soap up in and the 3rd was to rinse off in. Drill SGTs worked as time keepers and set the motivation. It took lots of practice to get under 3 minutes, so we did general calisthenics to warm up in between attempts. Lucky for us we had all night to perfect it.
