I really don’t have an Official Lunch break.
But because things can be very slow I take half an hour at about 1:00.

1/2 hour.  It was 1 hour but everyone in the dept. thought it was to long (and it was) so we decided to cut in to 1/2 hour and go home earlier.

same here,  I get to work at 6 am, go home at 5.  I can take 2 hours easily if I want.  But I usually just eat something at my desk.

massachusetts law requires constant attendance of boilers over 500 horsepower.
my boilers are over that, so both my co-worker and i can't really leave the area for lunch.
we have a fridge and a microwave, and we have to eat at our work stations.
the company is good sized, with a couple of break rooms with vending machines, and two full service cafeterias that they'll let the day guys go to if things are running alright, but they also have to come right back and eat at their work station.
we get paid for all shift, no deduction for lunch. we could eat all shift long, or the place could go to shit and we go without untill we get stabilized.

We get two 15 minute breaks, by the time you get ready and get to the break area you get about 7 minutes before you have to head back

More often then than not we work right through lunch. We are given a lunch differential- read paid to not eat lunch.

Most of us take our  lunch to work, and eat whenever/where ever we damn well please. I took BBQ leftovers today, had 1/2 dozen ribs, some brisket, baked beans, cornbread (with real butter) & potato salad.

My employer deducts half an hour of pay from my time sheet for every 8 hour shift worked.  The problem is I rarely get anything better than a 8 minute break.  Even that gets interupted sometimes.  Nothing better than eating a burger in shifts.  I gotta get me one of those unions.

get roughly 15-20min in a 12hr shift its rough but its not deducted from our pay so I cant complain

I'd say I only do about 15 minutes of actual work in a given work day.

It depends on what I have going on that day.  Sometimes it's just long enough to grab a sandwitch and sometimes it's as long as I say it is.

Half hour, deducted from anything over a six hour shift. For an eight hour shift I get two ten minute breaks and one half hour lunch.

The problem is that my fat fucking cunt of a boss is a paranoid authoritarian that rules the department with an iron fist, and as such I have to be careful who I take lunch with, when I take it, and that I not exceed the thirty minutes otherwise she thinks I'm conspiring to stage a coup. No, I'm not kidding.

The sad thing is I used to have a job where we filled out our own time sheets, lunch was on the clock, we took as long as we wanted, and usually took the company car to a different town to eat then drove back. I still wish I had that job, but office politics forced me out when an ass kisser got promoted and started to shake things up.

I work 8 hour night shifts, so we're supposed to eat at our desks during the shift.  If we leave for lunch, we just stay later and make up the time.

I work nights, but can eat anytime I want. I watch tv.etc, etc till I get a client. Some nights I don't even get a call, so I would say my lunch break is 8 hrs long.

I usually eat at my desk...but I could take an hour if I wanted to.  I only work 9-5, though, so that's why I just usually grab something and bring it back here.

I get an hour, but I usually just run to a nearby fast food place and eat it at my desk.  Takes about 30 minutes.  But then I goof off too much during the day (like now), so it evens out.

30 minutes on night shifts

no breaks or lunch on day shifts.  almost all the day time people are lazy assholes, and i'm forced to work twice as hard to pick up their slack.  the night shift is starting to get this way as well...  lately, i've been doing my job, and then the job of two other people that won't pull their own weight.  with all the work, there's not much time for lunch or breaks.

No lunch break for us.
You just eat when you get a chance.

If you don't get the chance? <shrug> Oh, well. Eat when you go home.

Walk to mall 10 min.
Go to store's 15-30 min.
Get food in food court 10-30min
Walk back to work 10 min.
Sit down and eat 20 min.

Depends on my assignment for the day.  Most days I just take a lunch and eat in the truck or stop by and grab something on the way.  Other days I get a chance to sit down and eat and take 30 minutes to an hour.  On training days, I usually get released 1 to 2 hours early to get something to eat, but that includeds driving time to get back to the office.

An hour, but it's hardly ever at noon.  Usually at 1, sometimes 2, depending on how long the boss is on the phone.

It can be as long as I want I guess.  I usually don't take a lunch so I will say 0 minutes.  When I do I usually don't go for more than 30 minutes.
