| Another Clinton aide gets immunity...does this mean they can lie and still be protected from prosecution? |

You would need to see the written immunity deal for each case. Some grant immunity for all your previous actions that you TRUTHFULLY testify about, while other immunity deals are all forgiving, and still others have limitations on what will is covered by the immunity.
There is too much variation to generalize about agreements. |

Quoted:
Another Clinton aide gets immunity...does this mean they can lie and still be protected from prosecution? No that's the problem. The immunity is contingent upon them giving accurate testimony. So if they go in front of congress and give different testimony, then they're lying somewhere, and the immunity would go away. That means they can only tell the truth in front of congress. If they're not showing up, it means they don't want to tell the truth, or lie. Which means they told the truth to the FBI, and it's exactly what we all think. They don't want to tell the truth, and if they lie it violates their immunity. (ETA: the above is what I summarized from what Gowdy said in an Oversight Meeting) |

To get viral immunity, you get inoculated, usually with a small dose of dead or mostly dead sample of the target for immunity. Your body reacts against the inoculation and builds sufficient immunity to withstand a full strength attack. The dose might be administered by injection, nasal spray, swallowed in liquid, pill, or capsule form, or rectal suppository.
Immunity from prosecution works pretty much the same way. |

I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on when they had immunity but would take the 5th or not show up. |
