So I made chili today, with beans and was curious as to how you guys eat your chili?
Sometimes I like to put mine on a light bed of white rice.
Or crush up some saltines and put them in.
Other times ill wrap it up in a giant tortilla with cheese and fritos.
Other times ill eat it with a little bit of cheese and corn bread.

How do you guys eat it?

Has to have beans first off.

Then it depends on the time of day...At supper I have it with sour cream and very sharp cheddar cheese and saltines. I put a couple of over easy eggs and same cheese on top of a bowl for breakfast.

It is pure bliss.

ETA: In the south saltines ARE crackers. Not ritz or that other yankee bullshit.

This.

Chili with beans = soup

My chili is decently hot, so I don't need hot sauce

Hot Chili + Cornbread + ice cold milk -

Or, bed of corn chips, then shredded cheese, a thick layer of chili, dollop of sour cream.

I prefer a spork, for the beans that refuse to get into the spoon.
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:13:02 PM EDT
Frito pie!

Or crushed crackers.

I have hot dog sauce(chili w/out beans) on my hot dogs, which I did have today!!

I wish you would of contacted me first.
I could of stopped you from making that huge mistake,
Beans, beans do not belong in chile.

Sorry, sorry I wasn't there for you to stop you from making this
horrible, horrible mistake.

I will live with this the rest of my life now,

sans beans, of course, with some shredded cheddar or sour cream and sometimes saltines.
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:16:21 PM EDT

Beans I can handle if I am starving and have no choice, KIDNEY beans in chili should be a crime!
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:16:45 PM EDT
I always had beans. I just wanted to see what it was like without after reading all of the fuss about it. It looked like straight up cat puke. I took a whif and caught a dry heave. I am strong of will though so, I pushed thru. I stirred in Tabasco and cock sauce and laid it on a bed of white rice. I ate it, choking back my natural reaction to projectile vomit the entire time.

I feel that I have been mislead by the no beans faction. I will attempt to put this traumatic episode behind me and move on with life.

Make a cheddar omelet and pour a ladle or two on top.

Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:20:24 PM EDT
one bowl at a time
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:21:18 PM EDT
I eat my chili with a couple of saltines, some chili sauce, and a nice Frostee on the side.
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:21:25 PM EDT
Here's a way you guys might try.
Git yerself a couple cans of Hormel no beans, and some shredded Mozzarella cheese.
Spread the chili on a pizza crust. (Boboli works just fine, I like a thinner crust but to each his own.) Sprinkle the Mozzarella generously on top of the chili. If you like onions, some purple onion sliced up and spread on top of the cheese is superb.
Place in oven, bake until cheese is melted and chili is hot to taste.
If you like chili and pizza you will love this concoction.
We do it a couple times a month.
Great with you favorite Barley Pop too....

My Wife likes Cincinatti "5 way " chilli . I prefer a bowl of "red" with, cheese and a dab of sour cream. And plenty of cold beer
BTW true chili is beef and chili only- NO beans.

You have no idea what I would do for some wendys in nazi germany.

If you make your chili right you don't need no stinking hot sauce.

Bowl. Cheddar Cheese. A bag of Fritos scoops. Spoon optional.
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:40:49 PM EDT
I like mine warm, in a bowl, and if it gets put on a hotdog I have to throw away the pots and pans and utensils used to make that abomination
Link Posted: 12/28/2012 7:42:44 PM EDT
Over rice with some cheese and sour cream. Real Texas chili does not have beans.

Hey...they call it "chili". If it's "different", they need to call it something different. As is, it looks like diarrhea and nothing that should be associated with chili.

Actually would love to see it entered into a chili competition anywhere in the South

Everyone take note. This is what is wrong with this country.

Chili only requires a spoon, cornbread, and a beer. No beans, fritos, hot dogs, or any other bullshit.

Write this down:
Chili, cornbread, spoon, and beer.
Milk is acceptable substitute for beer.

"Chili" 3 ways at Steak and Shake is awesome. It has nothing to do with chili though. Skyline chili is a pale imitation.

No beans.
