OK, 365 days of busting my chops, working nights, weekends and some holidays netted me 325 bones after the taxman.  How bout the rest of you?

Haven't gotten a bonus in the last two years.

Company lost money last year, but next year looks somewhat better.

Given our company management, I don't expect to get a bonus for the next couple of years, and since they've managed to not give out bonuses without having the employees walk, I don't expect to get one probably ever again.

No Christmas bonus.  I told my customers with pending jobs that I'd see them on Thursday and turned off my damn phone for two glorious days.

No bonus. No overtime. No extra time off for any holiday.

I did have dinner at the firehouse and enjoyed their company.

I have a wife but no kids yet so I would rather be out there right now while Moms and Dads are home with their kids.

Just hope there are some young Deputies out there that will carry on that same work ethic when I have kid

$0.00 In USD.  After taxes, $0.00.

The only job I had that paid a Christmas bonus was the grocery store I worked while in HS.

I got my performance/sales bonus the 6th and the 20th of Dec.

What is this Christmas bonus thing you speak of?z

I don't get a "Crimmus" bonus, but I get a yearly one, and the last few weeks of Crimmus sales have been REALLY good on that figure, which is a base of "x" plus 5% of all bottom line profit I achieve at my store.  This year should be SWEET.  Even managed to dig out of a $46,000 profit hole created by an inventory shrink of over $96,000.  If that shrink had not occured, I'd be in the machinegun market come receipt of this bonus.  And I mean multiple machineguns.  But, as it stands, I may be in the market for at least one![:D]

I won't speak of my bonus, but I just gave everyone who works for me, 57 of them, a one week bonus.
Wait, that's a lie. There were about a 15 who received, due to performance issues, more or less.

The first year I recieved 10 shares of stock, a decent amount of money.  The second year I got a generic duffle bag with company logo.  The third year I got an arial photo of the facility.  The fourth year I got jack squat.  Interesting how they phased those out along with every other promotional thing they did.  Really quite disturbing.

Now when ever our department has a christmas party I bring my company gifts to pass out.  Problem is, so does everyone else.  Cant get rid of the crap.

Christmas what?

In all actuality, that's what happens when you change career paths right before xmas. I did go to the company xmas dinner-all the Calhoun's food you can eat.

My new company gave me 3 days off so I could visit my parents and siblings, and a friend.

I am a contract employee, I am expendable. I get $0.00. If I were a "real" employee I would get a pretty good bonus. But I am not

I received a great yearly bonus when I worked at 3M. It was $0.32...

a 50 dollar plastic turkey from teh superintendant, which also went to subcontractors.

The real bonus (about 3000 smackers) was cancelled on 12/23.  We were supposed to get it last year, but a "correction" went out that it would apply to this year.

The original deal this fall was that we would take a substantial paycut AND a hours cut, and the compromise was that we would only have to take an hours cut.

Mind you, the company is *not* in the toilet, and this also applies only to 5 employees of a huge multinational.  We are a joint venture subsidiary. :(  I've already taken a 9500 buck a year paycut, and this one will top that.

*off-topic material deleted, but it logically follows from the above*

wow! some of you guys done get a whole lot. Makes me appreciate what I get more. At thanksgiving we get 17-19lb turkeys...Christmas we get a 40 hour paycheck, 6 steaks and a $50 gift certificate to a tool supplier. The boss doesnt pay top rate compared to other machine shops in the area but there are many other benefits...he has a good heart.

Got the 2 weeks of Christmas / New years off (till the 6th ) but have to take another mandatory week off in jan or feb without pay to help keep the co in the black.

$100 cash, my days off happen this year to fall on Dec.24/25 and Dec. 31/Jan1. I get to keep my job, indoors, with non-taxable tips, a boss who will bail me out of jail (yes, I have tried this), and I carry a handgun every single day.
I have plenty of customers who are out of work ( and thus filling barstools ), so you will not hear me complain about my measley hundred bucks.

i made a $4000 miscalculation in my business account so my partner and i each got $2000--just enough to cover the $600 plane fare for my marine son to come home for christmas, the $250 to replace the exhaust on my son's car, and the $500 for the extra course my son has to take to graduate from college in may(i refuse to pay another $15,000 for an additional semester!)

thank the Lord that i'm a math retard and the money was there!

Christmas Bonus?
Some how Corporate America has turned into CHEAP BASTARDS.  Companies that once recognized top performers, and dependable, reliable employees now have raised the bar so that outstanding is barely acceptable and those who were once rated as "dependable and reliable" are no longer needed, their jobs outsourced to somewhere outside the USA in the everlasting persuit of "cost reduction".

I did get a bonus ($350) but from my Manager, not a real company wide deal. I am gratefull for this money and especially for the efforts of my manager.  There has been a Company wide pay freeze for 2002, and I pitty those in the lower paying positions as they are slipping backward with rising costs of food and utilities, etc.

Sure hope the economy turns around in 2003, and management re-discovers the value of employees.

Off my soapbox now,
BillSP1

Bonus?  not a chance.  But I did get a promotion at the beginning of December.  That, and I already get quarterly profit sharing, which is usually like 300 bones.  Then the year end profit sharing, which was about 400 bones last year.  Payout isn't for another month or two, tho.  [:(]

I'll be looking forward to that tax return... even though I think I should get ALL of MY money back.  But that's another topic...  [:)]
