Laying in bed at 0400 this morning my mind began to wander.
Among the things that filled my head was the thought that we (Americans) understand so little of our freedom, the Constitution, the rights it lays out for us, and we do so little to protect our rights. With the latest tragic events in Connecticut, the Internet is all a buzz as to what the next ban will entail, and "where can I buy more lowers and more 30 round magazines?" It occurred to me that "We" gun owners and enthusiasts will spend hundreds of dollars buying "things", "objects" out of fear of what our government will do to our rights, but we "Americans" will balk at $25 for an NRA membership. We will spend $300 or more on more magazines, $300 on a few more stripped lowers all the while fretting and obsessing on how bad the next ban will be. We won't come out of our "personal comfort zone" and actually engage people as to the rights we stand to lose except to those already on board. Preaching to the choir so to speak. When, if each gun owner, instead of buying the lowers and magazines spent the same small amount of panic purchases dollars on an NRA membership, quite possibly, the need to panic buy things that our government will deem forbidden will be averted. For if it comes to ever needing the guns and bullets to defend our rights, it will already be to late. The country will be lost, and all we will be doing is fighting for how long we can survive and suffer under the new paradigm of oppression, when all we needed to do was spend $300 to secure our freedoms for another generation or longer. Is it really that simple? I don't know. I do know it is one of the easiest thing I can do to protect my rights from the daily assault on them. Today I purchased a lifetime membership in the NRA, in hopes of forestalling the assault we all face right now on our freedoms. It is so easy, so effortless, yet so powerful. Who will make the same effort so that we may have a chance to not go through another assault on our rights? Look, you can't find lowers and magazines in stock hardly anywhere, you were already willing to spend the money on inanimate objects anyway. Why not spend those same dollars on something that is active, alive and willing to do the fighting for us?. Support the only organization powerful enough, already in place in Washington to do us some good. It is apathy and ignorance that will bring America down. the bullets and bombs will only be the signal the the end has arrived, not the the method of destruction. |

What is this America you speak of? We live in the United Socialist States of America the workers have spoken! Death to the evil people and corporations who have stolen from the workers, Death to the evil gun owners who have killed so many of the innocent, and Death to Capitalist who have brought killed our planet with their global warming climate change!

The nation started falling apart with Johnson's Great Society programs.
It's been a slow decline but we're getting there fast and with half the country with its fingers in the treasury there is no going back. Frankly, in the next decade or so I see a dictatorship in the making. If it is a military dictatorship I will frankly be somewhat relieved as they will likely eliminate the FSA and the social programs and make people work for a change. I hate to say it, but most of the people of today deserve neither liberty nor safety as they have proven themselves to be irresponsible with the government treasury. |

The individual is a coward who depends on the government to provide him a job, to take care of him when he is sick, and to protect him from the evil that exists in this world. I believe they are disarming us in preparation for a massive economic collapse and they want as defenseless as possible. |

The Left has always wanted to disarm the American people.
It was going to take some tragedy in order to convince the average American weak minded sheeple to go along with it. The Obama Administration tried to manufacture that tragedy with Fast and Furious but it blew up in their faces. The Second Amendment is the real guarantor of the Constitution and once that goes away then the government has all the power and we are pretty much screwed. Kiss the America we knew goodbye. |
