| I've got a hotmail account as a secondary e-mail, so I don't check it that often. Checked it this morning and I had over 120 messages. All porn related! I never get porn messages through my yahoo account. Anyone else get bombarded with it? |

That doesn't help either, and there's a limit to the number of emails you can block. Hotmail just sucks, but other free webmail services are very unreliable. The_Beer_Slayer posted some links to downloads, including a spam filter, which he says works great. I haven't installed it yet though. |
| my hotmail picks up arodun 50-80 a day im guessing. since i clean it only when i have a need for it such as retrieving a nick/password combo to a game account or such. its 100% dedicated to being spammed. any website that asks for a email gets my hotmail. my other 2 are less freely given, one to online orders, ect. the other to family'n'friends. the order one does get some spam, FnF gets very little. |

Don't use free email from netscape.net, I get so many spams there. Can't even separate legit email from spams because of the volume I get. Its always good idea to have multiple email accounts. One for family members, close friends only. Several more for bulletin boards, mailing lists, and for when making purchases only. |

MSN 8... now there's a topic that's near but not dear to my heart. MSN was my internet access till I got DSL. Yeah I know all the BS but it worked for me. Anyway last Monday the MSN 8 disc arrived in the mail and I installed it. MY EMAIL IMMEDIATELY WENT TO HELL. Took till Wednesday to get it working half right. Microsoft folks were nice about helping but it took at least eight hours of phone time and twice that on my own to get the MSN web-based email to work with my DSL service (SBCGlobal) and it wasn't the DSL provider's fault. While talking with Microsoft people I got the idea MSN 8 is causing problems. MSN 8 is uninstalled from my box and will not be reinstalled. |

I mean when you choose "This is Spam", select the thing to report it to HotMail. Let THEM block it. Stops you from getting the spams, along with every other HotMail user..... Scott |
