I run a little message board and I'm currently using PHP. Its not working out as the board is more and more unstable.

It has been suggested that I move to VBulletin. It has also been suggested I move to a new hosting service, and I agree.

Any suggestions on a good hosting service?

I've used 1and1.com and hostrocket.com, no complaints with either.

How do you like Ipower?  I am in the process of starting an online store and a little in the dark about web hosting.

I'm moving off of IPower Web. The regular web pages are stable, but they can't keep my message board up. They aslso have had some issues with the email package and other database things.

I've been with them two or three years now, and until the last 6 months or so was really happy.

CubicHosting.net - You will NOT be dissapointed. Very cheap prices, does not oversell (like 1and1 and hostrocket)

After two years of hosting, was down 1 time for 45 minutes, that was it!

Welp...some questions...
* how little of a board..what bandwidth requirements are you looking at for your host
* PHP...as in PHPbb? or another flavor?

PHPbb is typically a solid platform, though there's lots of tweaks/addons/and of course the server side running PHP.

For low-price start up, I might suggest www.netfirms.com/max...normally $10/month..but the max deal is $10 for the first year..and a ton of space/bandwidth.  In addition, for the non-PHP programmers out there, PHPbb can be set up with point/click.
