Hooah (who-ah), adj. U.S. Army Slang. Referring to, or meaning anything and everything except "no." Generally used when at a loss for words. Also:

Good copy, solid copy, roger, good or great;

Message received, understood.

Glad to meet you, welcome.

I do not know, but will check on it, I haven't the vaguest idea.

I am not listening.

That is enough of your drivel--sit down.

Stop sniveling.

You've got to be kidding.

Yes.

Thank you.

Go to the next [briefing] slide.

You have taken the correct action.

I don't know what that means, but am too embarrassed to ask for clarification.

That is really neat, I want one too.

Amen.

In the interest of inter service relations let me submit the following:

A marine and a sailor were both taking a leak.

When done the Navy man began washing his hands and the Marine headed for the door.

The sailor commented, "In the Navy they taught us to wash our hands after taking a piss."

The Marine responded, "In the Marines they taught us not to piss on our hands."

Why did god give marines an IQ just above a horse?

With the few extra points, when they're in a parade they won't sh*t in the street.

I can't take credit for that one, saw it here on another post. I have to thank whoever posted it 'cuz there's plenty of good squid jokes that the jarheads burn me with. Although I'd like to get them back, a corpsman can only "misplace" HIV draws and "accidently" miss the vein so many times before it gets old.

HooYah! Navy! But since I'm FMF HooRah!

Navy BS Term as used by lifers:  Bravo Zulu

Properly broken down and analyzed with Websters' Speller , this is:

Bravo:  a shout of encouragement; a cheer.

Zulu:  A member of the Bantu speaking tribes of Southern Africa.

Taken together, this is obviously an offensive slur towards naked black men running around the jungle, and as such must be condemned by all and suppressed.  A check box regarding its use will be added to next years evals.
