For my government class I have to research, propose and then write a congressional bill. The topic of Bill is that teachers should be allowed to conceal carry on school grounds. With this assignment I must provide an analysis, which is what I need help with. It must include a minimum of: -Type of Bill: (Private or Public) -What chamber it needs to be introduced to (if appropriate) -The Committee the Bill would be sent to -Special interest groups to support Bill -Special interest groups who oppose Bill -How the powers within Congress would view the Bill -Would this Bill have a chance of passing, why or why not? ETA: I do not believe this would be a national, or federal issue. Most funding for public schools comes from local and state levels. As of the last time I checked only about 7-8% of funding comes from the federal level. I believe that as such something like this would have to be done on a state level. |
But seriously, do some research. Read the constitution. Article I deals with the legislative branch that will be introducing, debating and passing this bill. Contact your representatives.
