http://www.ksat.com/news/20775046/detail.html Shot Fired In Attempted Home Invasion No Injuries Reported In Incident Near Downtown POSTED: Monday, September 7, 2009 UPDATED: 11:05 am CDT September 7, 2009 SAN ANTONIO –– A homeowner exchanged gunfire with two men during a home invasion north of downtown early Monday. Police said the homeowner was asleep at 1 a.m. when he heard the door of his home at the intersection of El Monte and McCullough being kicked in. The homeowner then screamed out loud and the men took off running, police said. One of the men then turned around and yelled, "SAPD!" and opened fire on the homeowner, police said. The homeowner then returned gunfire but it was not known if the men were wounded or if they stole anything. Police are checking hospitals to find out if anyone shows up at an emergency room with gunshot wounds. The homeowner was not hurt. |

That could explain some things I saw this morning. I drove through SA on Hwy 90, going from the east side to the west side. There were 3 seperate locations on 90 where LEOs had an auto pulled over. And there were at least 4 LEO cars at each location. One location had a K9 sniffing around an open trunk lid. |
| Wow - That is about 5 blocks from my house - the radio stated it was in "Olmos Park" but that is "Olmos Park Terrace"..........a few blocks and a few hundred thousand dollars difference....that just reinforces my plans that it is time to get my 13 year old pit/lab mix a younger buddy...Wife will not be happy when I tell her....here, the Olmos Park cops partol very well and that homeowner had to rely on SAPD........... |
