GREAT DOCUMENTARY.  Was this the first airing?  What did everyone think?

I hate it everytime they introduce a soldier using his photograph.  I think, oh no, he didn't make it.

I thought it was really good.  I liked how they honored the fallen at the end.  I was unaware that the dude that manned the M2 won the MOH.  That Col. was a cool dude he reminded me of that Col. in Black Hawk Down.

As the years go by, the films that we'll get to see eventually will be incredible.  All of those WW2, Vietnam and Desert Storm films will be dusted by what we're going to see.

Maybe the Military Channel can actually air some new stuff!

I thought it was ironic, how he was complaining how the hum-vees only have a thin piece fiberglass protecting them.  I wish more Col & higher ups were forced to go out in the field.  I bet all the hum-vees would be well armored ASAP.

I know, the photograph thing is sad.  But  it's a great show. They really get into the details of the weapons used . (I think Lumpy196 must be a technical  advisor  )

They had some sort of marathon this weekend, Great shows in all. But I think that was the first time this episode aired.

I'll be watching. It's pretty riveting.

Good show!
For those who are interested, additional details about the "battle of the palm grove", "the battle of the bridge", the death of Mark Ervin and lots of other stuff is covered well in Gunnery Sgt. Jack Coughlin's book, "Shooter".  Amazon has it.  So does the Military book club.

Was this a new one, or is it the same Iraq episode they've been playing for weeks?
