The Congress is effectively useless than.
We were suppose to have seperate, but equal branches of government in terms of power sharing. However, it's clear the Executive Branch now has all the power and the Congress barely has any. Obama took us to war in Libya without so much of a "by your leave" to the Congress. This nation looks less and less like a Republic and more and more like a damn Monarchy. |

So, looks like 2 of the 3 people directly involved won't be well, involved.
One is bowing out due to the sudden and convenient discovery of an affair that has caused him to resign. One is too busy. One is playing golf, shaving the wookie or blowing a limo driver. Fuck it, let it go. Not like anybody died or something.....

Obama White House had this Petreaus affair in their backpocket for a long time and pulled it out when they needed to cash it in. Probably how they kept Petreaus from running for office in 2012 as well.
Now if Petreaus come out and attacks them they'll write him off as someone lashing out at the government that forced him to resign. Just an angry ex-employee. |
