I am trying to put together a proposal to incorporate SIMS training into our firearms program. I need some help coming up with prices though since I cannot find current ones on the internet. Ive used them for years on the SWAT team and have been trying for years to get them but our "older" administration did not think it was neccessary. Now with our new administration it looks like a go. Ive already got a local pd to loan us their guns anytime we want so that is one thing we would not have to purchase for a while. I just need to know how much a case of 9mm rounds go for, and also any personal experience with SIMS that I can pass along to show how effective force on force training is.
My plan for department wide training is for scenario based training, and also keeping up to date on rapid deployment and room entry type instruction. |

How about calling Simunition directly?
AFAIK, Simunition FX rounds are only available to LE and .Mil entities. Edit: Found this on their website under "range program" A minimum purchase to include 5 cases of FX® ammunition, 6 face protectors, and 6 throat protectors (approximate cost: $3500) |

How reliable are airsoft guns? Airsoft is a decent alternative if they won't commit to Simunition. You don't get anything resembling realistic report or recoil though. Push for Simunition products, but if you have to settle for airsoft you can make it work. I'll email you the other stuff tonight yet. |
mmmm simmunition truly the greatest training invention EVER! Just remember to cover your face, and your ears, oh and wear a cup. You might want full body armor too. Also for those who think it's "just like paintball" shoot them in the ass once before you begin and I guarantee they will avoid getting shot like the plague from then on. nothing says realism like pain
