[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help with C&R licensing process.

I've received my application from the BATF for my C&R license and I had a few questions:

01.) Section 7: Do I need to fill this section out since it is an individual application? If so, what is my "position"? "Owner"?

02:) With reference to CLEO: Should I be referencing the CLEO if my local city police, or of the state police?

03.) On the "Certification of Compliance with 18 USC 922(g)(5)(B)" form: I assume that I complete sections 1, 2, 3, and 7. The thing that confuses me is the person is the same in section 1 and 2 - me - right?

04.) Finalization - just to be sure: Send in top green form and white form with $30 to Texas and send the bottom green form in to CLEO, then wait for response. Right?

1. I listed my position as collector.

2. I sent the copy to my local PD Chief.

3. I filled out all of those sections with my info.

4. yes, and then wait. I waited about 8 weeks for mine. I'm told that is long, it usually takes 2-4.

I received my C&R today.

I mailed my application and postal money order for $30.00 on 2003-02-07 and received my license on 2003-02-22.

It only took 9 business days not including the day I sent it and the holiday!
