Hello, I recently bought a new Dell with Vista. I have a PSP and was using Media Max pro to download movies (form our DVD collection) that have been decrypted with DVDfabHD (free version). Max Media Pro recently stopped working. I've updated it to the latest version 1.45, but I keep getting errors or "can't encode messages.... I decided to download and try Media coder PSP free version, but can't figure it out either... It encodes, and sends files to the PSP but the PSP can't play them.... Is anyone here using Media Coder with success, and what settings are you using??? My PSP is running Version 2.50 software. Also I was thinking about buying the full version of DVDFab (platinum) that converts and encodes directly to the PSP but I don't want to spend the cash until I know it works..... Any Help or advice??? KDX |

Well, A quick update for those lurking... I had to go back to my old method of conversion/loading... First step, use DVDFabHD to decrypt and get rid of all the protection crap, warnings, trailers etc.... Then, using Max Media Pro, convert the movie to MP4. Then use Windows folders and the PSP USB connection to upload the MP4 and thm file to the PSP's memory stick (2gig) Then.... Change the Movie file name to name format the PSP likes (M4V00003,4,5, and M4V00002,3,4,5.thm...). It works but is by no means a one click conversion transfer... the whole process takes about 1 hour/movie to transfer... Very slow... If anyone is using something faster/slicker/tricker I'd sure like to hear about it... Using this method I can load 5 full length movies (high Quality mode), plus still have room for a couple dozen songs and 100 megs of photos on a two gig memory stick... KDX |
