Look guys, I've got a college edumacation, and every day I give people really dangerous drugs, make them unconcious, and allow surgeons to wallow thru their guts while I keep em alive. But damn if I can't figure out how to post a pic with my message!!!

Would someone take pity on my miserable carcass and show me how to make a pic appear in my post.  I can link to pics http://community.webshots.com/user/dennismuldrew, but I am too stupid to figure out how to make the goddam pic appear in my f*#kin post!!!

dmuldrew,
Posting a pic is easy.  It's done much the same way as posting a url (I see that you can already do that).  The only difference in posting a pic and a url is the code you use.  For the url, you use "url" and "/url" enclosed in brackets.  For a pic, merely use "img" and "/img" enclosed in brackets.  The address of the pic is of course the url of the pic.  To find out what the url of the pic is, place your cursor on the pic and right click.   Then select "properties".  You will then be able to see the addy on the popup.  Then just copy and paste it.

It should look like this:
{img}http://wsphotofews.excite.com/011/gr/Cp/yZ/Sw31307.jpg{/img}

(Replace the {} with [] to get it to show up)

Actually, in order for it to work you have to delete the beginning of the web address includding the forward slashes. So by what is given above this would be the correct example:

{img}wsphotofews.excite.com/011/gr/Cp/yZ/Sw31307.jpg{/img}

Ofcourse substitute {} for []

Beagles,
Mine works fine when I leave "http://" in the code, at least HERE.  On some other message boards you do have to do as you say, though.

(Check the source code of this page, and you can see that I left the "http://" part in the image URL)
