My sister picked up this ring at a garage sale a while back. No markings inside the band, and the "gem" is plastic. The sides have some kind of eagle symbol and what looks like an upside down star. I don't expect it to be worth anything, but I am curious what the symbols are, if anything. Any idea what it might be?

Edit: Appears to be an Eagle Scout ring.

There's some small writing on it.  It reads:

One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them.  One ring to find them all, and in the darkness bind them.
something like that.

POS signet ring.

It means whoever bought it was a cheap guido.

The symbols mean nothing. At all. If the stone is "plastic," what do you really expect?

Look like a generic 3rd world import flea market ring to me.

Pay no attention to the funny looking little midget thing that followed you home.

Rings are generally metal, formed in a circle and sized to fit around a finger.

Hope this helps.....

Well, I wasn't expecting much. Thanks anyway. Should I throw it in the fire and see if those words appear?

So far as I can now tell it looks like it's an Eagle Scout ring from the 1980s. Some guy is selling them for $65. Only his blue plastic is not re-glued in backwards, as mine appears to be.

Cheap, generic costume jewelry from the 1960's.
