Anyone know a good freeware program that converts raw images to jpeg? I am unable to find any that doesn't have a watermark.

What camera you got those from?

You can DL Nikon ViewNx for free at their website, I'm sure other manufacturers have something similar.

This, just use picassa. it will work with raw files the same as jpeg. File>save as or File > Export picture to folder  will do ya.

Canon has its own software.  You could also use Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture depending on platform or preference, but they aren't free.

If you bought the camera new, then you might have a cd in the box that's labeled "Canon Digital Solutions Disc" or something like that.

There will be a program on the disc named Digital Photo Professional. That will let you view and edit as well as convert Canon RAW files to JPEG.

Check here for updates to the software under your camera model:

Check if Canon website have a free RAW converter.
The other option is Photoshop CS or Light room, if you have either one.

You might need to know which camera took the RAW.

Lightroom, photoshop CC or any CS version.

Do you have a mac? You should be able to export the photos out as jpegs.

Before you go doing that, there's A LOT of cool post-production stuff you can do with RAW that you can't do with jpg.  Many programs listed by people, Gimp is free and pretty good.  Also check, for the future your camera may be able to shoot and save RAW and jpg at the same time.

If keeping the original RAW won't break the bank, do it.  2TB+ drives are dirt cheap.
