Its a pioneer engineer tool kit, as it says on the label. We had kits just like this in 2005, but they didn't say "Hank" on them........

I don't know...I would say our kits were about 10 years old or a little more. Same type box and same tools in ours.

As the box is marked with a Federal Stock Number (5180-293-2875) instead of a National Stock Number (13 didgits) this narrows it down to 1949-1975. I'd guess closer to 1975 than 1949.

Those kits were issued from Korean war era up through the 90's. We had them at my unit in the early 90's and some units might still have a few lying around. Are you looking for a specific year for some reason?

2) there are a few bets as to how old it is
