I have a LaRue 12 inch upper sitting on a Armalite lower. I need a nice red dot. I am looking at the Romero 5. Which red dots you guys recommend in either EOtech or Aimpoint? Range is about $150-$200. Thanks |

I'd add Sig to the list, as well. PA has a couple of 1x prism scopes in that range. One now at $120 I'm thinking about getting to try the type out. They also have some bigger 3x prisms right at $200. I have a previous generation of these on my wife's AR at 2.5x and I really like it. I have the 3x compact on my AR10 and it's a really nice optic. |

Tried them all, always go back to Aimpoint. The sigs Romeos I have are just range toys imo. |

Comes with both High and low mounts and there are tons of other mounts that it can fit on including the LT QR mounts.. You can get the dot in Red, Green or Gold. I like that its both Solar and Battery and the batt has 50K hour life. |

In that price range I'm almost always going to pick Primary Arms. I don't normally use their ACSS reticle due to astigmatism, but they have some cool new red dots, they're even threaded for kill flashes. But, if you don't like those then I bet the gen 2 Sig MSR would also be a decent fit. |

Of all the budget red dot I have tried or my friends have tried, the Romeo 5 is imo, the shittiest one. Even the Primary Arms classic, is better at daylight brightness. Romeo 5 barely gets there. Both purchased from DVOR, so not fakes from Amazon or eBay. Just get a primary arms, Holosun, or vortex. |

I have an old primary arms basic red dot and one of the newer ones with the ACSS reticle and shake awake. Shake Awake and Solar Charging are great features if you can find something with those. |
