I am in the market for a helmet light. Who has what and how do you like it? Open to suggestions.

I have used the UK 4AA, Pelican StealthLite and the Streamlight Vantage.  I liked the Vantage the best of those, but it isn't working right now.  I killed the Pelican once too and they replaced it with a new one, no questions asked.

The Vantage is not great in smoke and eats batteries, but I like the small size.  I have a Streamlight Survivor (not LED) on my coat and it penetrates smoke much better.

I have a Streamlight helmet light that I love. It's the same as the TLR-1 with a helmet mount and a blue LED "taillight". Yeah you only get a fire or two out of a set of batteries but whats 10 bucks a month tops for having a great tool?

Pelican Stealthlight. Let look and ass if I can find my felmet that survived a flashover and the light was only cosmetically damaged.

A Garrity light, I saw one at Lowes the other day and it brought back memories. They were cheap, they didnt sit outside the brim of your helmet like the new ones, and they took a beating and kept working...all for a few bucks.   Today,  I have a streamlight survivor LED in the radio pocket of my coat, and a streamlight fire vulcan buckled  to my airpack.

I really like the Vantage, but you guys dont have a problem blinding people on the fire ground? I also have a survivor LED but it just took a shit on me going to send it back to streamlight, hopefully they have good customer service.

I had to send my Survivor back to Streamlight because the front element cracked (not from impact) and they fixed it with no problems.

Cuts through the smoke just fine for me. If it gets ruined you are only out $3 anyways. I have a pelican big ed on a chest strap of my bunker coat but if that gets burned I'm screwed

I've used UK, Streamlight, Surefire, Garrity, and Pelican.  I only use Pelican now and issue it to the others as well.  We use the PM6 3330 as a helmet light and the Stealthlite 2410 as a pocket light.  The LED's are more reliable because they don't burn out, the filament is encased rather than exposed like an incandescent. They are more efficient and now with the recoil design the beam is focused and there aren't dark spots in the LED beam.  Their warranty is second to none, they've replaced lights we've damaged from use rather than defects only like other manufacturers.
