Any recommendations on a new headset?  I do want an ANR headset.  I'm leaning toward the Bose model but interested if anybody has a brand they like better or had a bad experience with the Bose.  Also, any benefit to a Bluetooth model?  Thanks.

The benefits of the Bluetooth Bose are you can pipe your phone or iPad in.

I've had a Bose X for a decade now and love it. I'm about to pick up the latest one with Bluetooth just because I to treat myself.

I tried on all the ANRs from the major maufactures at Oshkosh last year. If you ever get s chance to do that, i highly recommend doing it that way.

Based on my experience, the Lightspeed PFX was by far the best ANR I tried on. Tied for second were the Bose and the Lightspeed Zulu2s.

I ended up going with the Zulu2's over the Bose becsuse of Lightspeed's reputation for being very responsive to their customers, and they also have a great CFI discount and trade up discount.  The PFX was out of my price range and since it was new, they didn't have their trade up program established for it yet.

I'd recommend either of those Lightspeeds but give them and the Bose a shot before you buy if you can. It's all personal preference.

FWIW, all of the Lightspeed Zulu2s and PFX headsets have Bluetooth by default. It's not an upgrade that costs money.

+1 for Lightspeed.  My last two headsets have been Lightspeed and my third likely will be too.

I've had my Bose A20s for almost a year now.  Good battery life and Bluetooth is nice for talking on the phone.

I use the Bose A20 and find them quite comfortable on 12+ hour flights. The sound quality of music through the Bose headsets is amazing.

I had the Zulu (not 2) and it was the nicest headset I've ever owned.  I was able to use the Bose X on several flights, but the Zulu is what I ended up buying.  Loved it.

I've only used the Bose X and the David Clark H10-13X.

The Bose is much nicer and lighter.

We had the bose in a king air 350 I used to fly.  The ANR and sound quality was phenominal, the vice like head clamp action was not.  I have some David Clarke ANR' that are much mire comfortable.

Same.  Big fan of the A20 models.  Not a fan of the price since I bought 4 pair for the family, but the performance is worth the coin, IMO.

I fly every day, and my current headset is a Lightspeed Zulu (not the Zulu 2).

Had (2) Bose X's for a short period of time, and really liked them.   But I flipped them to make a couple bucks.   Wish I had them back.

Personally, I think the Bose did a better job of cutting out the noise than the Zulu's.
