For my cousins graduation after work tonight. What do I need to know? What are cc laws in SC? My permit is from Tennessee.
Sorry so short and vague I'm on the run trying to get ready. His platoon was 1st over all and he shot sharp shooter, 95% @ 500yds. I'm so proud of this young man. |
I think you need to check USMC rules about carrying on base, too.

We checked out of our hotel before we went to the ceremony so I wouldn't have had anywhere to leave my gun if I had been carrying. I wouldn't have tried to take a gun on post, its likely not allowed.
Civilians could bring guns on Bragg. They had a range at Mckellars lodge, which is interesting because if you go too far down that road you attract special attention.
Where is your gun going to be stored when you're on base is a better question.
Big nn no without paperwork
I had a vetting document to submit for aproval prior to shooting on Quantico last week |

Civilians are not allowed to bring any firearms onto Parris Island...this includes LEO's. |
Yea, I figured I couldn't carry on base. I guess I will tempt fate and go without?
Parris Island was the capital of Florida 450 years ago. It was called St. Elena.

Just grab dinner out in Beaufort. Or maybe swing down to Hilton Head.

95% and sharpshooter? When I was in, a 220/250 got you expert. Crossed rifle badge, not cross like poster above, which is SS badge.
Leave it home or at least don't try to go on base carrying.
SC does not recognize very many other states CC documents. Unload and put in trunk for transport, leave off base for certain. |

Probably meant nine fives and one 4, if they still score the same. 500 was easy at Edson range; the winds are nice and steady there. Offhand was usually the only position that I dropped any points....but sometimes as many as 15. |
TN permit GTG in SC but on base is a NO GO, I repeat a NO GO. I have friends who still live in the area so last time I had to go to PI we left our CCW's at a friends house when we went on base.

I will know more tomorrow when I get to speak to him. |

Just arrived. I left the pistol at home thanks for the replies and advice. I'll update the thread tomorrow with more details after I get to see him.
