Over the years, have you begun eating or drinking things that you used to think were replusive or nasty?

For me, it is scotch, bourbon, and coffee.  Used to hate the taste of all of them, but recently I've developed a taste for them all.

The scotch and bourbon was developed over the years as I tried and sampled different brands.

Coffee was after the wife and I visited Costa Rica and had some great coffee from a small family run plantation.

Anyone else?

After college, my standards for women went way down while my standards for beer went way up.

I'll drink wine if there's no Cuervo, 101 Bird or beer around.

I once read the as we age, our taste buds become less "powerful", therefore, spicey or strong tastes seem better.

Makes sense to me.  Little kids usually don't like spicey foods.  Adults like them better.

Same thing for strong tasting drinks.

I too have a taste for "The Kick'n Chicken."

I don't like as much fried food as I used to.

2nd. Beer

The first time I had a beer I was like,"Damn how the hell do you drink this shit."
But now, its like sweet nectar.

Theres only three things in my life I've always loved, guns, bacon and boobs.  Other than those things one week I'll hate something, the next I love it.

No doubt about it. I think that part of it has to do with getting older (for whatever reason), but also has alot of do with being exposed to finer things as I've gotten older (compared to the crappy food and cheap swill I was used to when I was younger .....)

I used to be picky about food, now I'll eat anything as long as it's bloody rare and made out of meat.
I worked too hard to fight my way to the top of the food chain to waste my mastication skills on carrots!

I developed a taste for 4 door luxury sedans with either fancy hood emblems and/or V8's, 3 pieces, lots of dead animal skin, and mostly impractical firearms (all on $40k a year.)  Im only 23, imagine what will happen when Im 40.

When I was young, I liked women and motorcycles the same way - built for speed and stripped for action.  Now I lke them built for comfort, and fully dressed...  Ops

Enlighten me on the missing parts, I'm very curious.

Seriously...you almost had me.  I was half way through the first sentence before I realized you were joking.

I would think one would have lower standards for women during college, when they are drinking heavily...
