This is directed at the men here, as most chicks have their ears pierced. I did in high school, then let it close, then had it done again when I was 22 or so and then let it close again. Thought it would be cool, it wasn't. Won't be doing that again. So what about the rest of ya.

Thats exactly what I did, the second time it never healed properly and left a scar/indent thats pretty obvious. |

Tried it for a couple of weeks in high school in defiance of my parents. Got bored with it pretty quick when they didn't respond to it.

Does Marcellus Wallace look like a bitch?

I had my ear lobes stretched out a bit in college, pretty much closed.

piercings are just something to be ripped out in a fight. so no, never.
Tattoos are a different story. |

2 in my left ear. Pierced wasn't cool when I did it and left ear/right ear had meaning back then. The holes never fully closed so I can wear them when the fad is again out of style ... By which time I'll be even older and less cool than I am now and girls won't think "Hey, there's a guy that doesn't conform! I must touch him inappropriately" even more than they didn't think that the previous times.
I also got my tattoos at a time when getting inked wasn't a standard way to start middle school - That got me laid (yes, by a female between 18 and 22). Earrings, not so much |

I was a long-hairy hippy commie democrat as a youth. Yep, had my ear pierced. I think it's still patent but I haven't tried to put anything in there in at least 10 years.

I choose not to answer because there are too many people here who take offense at me doing what I want to my own body, for my own reasons, that does no harm to anyone else. Awww, fuck it, have an aneurysm guys.....this was done with a scalpel. Tattoos are for pussies. http://i56.tinypic.com/280o03m.jpg Thats really you? Thats hardcore |

Left ear when I was a teenager. I left it out for awhile and the hole closed up. No desire to have it redone.

Do you pick the scab so it stays open for longer? |

I don't care what you do, really I don't. Answer me this though, if you don't care what people think, then why get one on your back where only other people can see it? Why not your forearm or somewhere that you can admire it? |

41 votes for yes, 68 for no, 0 for I'm a chick. Guess that proves that there are no women here.

did 16 years ago for a few years, went to 8 gauge and stopped, around 99 when I started playing around heavy equipment I opted to take them out rather than risk getting caught on something.... eventually they close up for the most part ( hard to see now, but I can get a 14 or 16 though if I tried)

Men have worn ear jewelry for centuries. Its only been latley that the American male has been femenized and unsecure in their manliness so they think that ear rings are gay.
And nope, I dont have pierced ears or wear ear rings. |

I used to have three in my ear, although only one is still operable. Comes in handy for the occasional halloween costume. (Dog the Bounty Hunter last year).

Yes, I was in a metal band for years. I have a tat as well. I play guitar professionally and it was part of the look.
Now they have grown over, I don't play venues anymore. I do studio work. I wear a suit and tie. |

I had 3 in the left ear for a while after I got out of the Army in 1990, the bottom two are still open but I don't wear anything in them, the one in the top of the ear closed up.

You do realize your reply made exactly zero sense in context, right? |
