Both parties have been banging America in the ass for years. We have no real alternative as there's no 3rd Party with any sort of strength. Except for gun issues, I'm tempted to just quit voting.

The Libertarian Party remains the only party (major or minor) that has put full support for 2nd Amendment rights on their platform.

THere needs to be a true conservative party. We need to start one because the Republicans are like Democrats of 30 years ago. Someone mentioned the Liberitarians ... you mean Losertarians don't you? Don't even waste a vote on these fucks as voting for them is like voting for the Democrats! We need to get the conservitave back into the Republican Party. Or is it too late?

I am hoping that when Karl Rove gets done marginalizing the Democrats by having the Bush administration champion all of their causes enough people in this country (the RED states) are pissed off and a third party becomes viable. I have got to admit the current Republican strategy has me worried, perplexed, and incensed. I think, at least in the short run we are really fucked! Six months ago I was pretty sure the AWB would go away, but you can bet your ass, if Bush can use it to get the soccer mom vote, he will, after all, his dad used the same tactic, remember him tearing up his NRA membership card???

I would certainly hate to hear you guys bitch, pizz, and moan after, say, one year of an armed revolt! If this is how you act in a green season, what will y'all be like in a dry season? Remember, the only thing that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. The only other thing that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do something stupid! Like talk of voting against REPUBLICANS simply because President Bush might do something stupid! So what? There are other dedicated pro-RKBA Republicans out there who need our support, and cutting them off simply because President Bush was trying to stack the Electoral deck with votes doesn't make good sense! We have a party apparatus right now - it's called the Republican Party! But you folks would rather start from scratch on some new-fangled party that couldn't possibly be up and running for, what? Ten years or so? Honey, we don't have [b]ten years[/b] to wait for such pie-in-the-sky day-dreaming! The Libertarian Party has been around since at least the 1970s, and they have yet to elect anything better than a local dog-catcher! They have never elected even so much as a single Congresscritter! And a single Congresscritter couldn't do squat to stem the tide of socialism and gun control! The answer is to take over the Republican Party to the same extent and depth as the liberals and left wing fanatics have taken over the DEMOC-rat Party! I and many others have often said "vote republican, and pro gun".
And many of the same said "vote republican, and anti big government". But it's sad to say that much of that is nothing but talk. On a local level, I will vote republican only if they are strong 2nd. As far as the presidential race? If GW makes supporting the AWB an election issue, I will either vote for a third party, or not vote at all. Is a third party really impossible? And what exactly is wrong with the Libertarian party anyway? Is it just because of their stance on the war on drugs? Hell that has been a failure anyway.......... |

Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan took over the party, not with guns, but with good old grassroots activities! And they fought and scrapped, and compromised, and advanced and retreated, just as one might expect in actual warfare. They won the war, and the Reagan Revolution was the result. The Soviet Union fell, as the direct result of what Ronald Reagan did. All you have to do is to read the speeches of Ronald Reagan, given at a time when it was believed that the Soviet Union was destined to win the conflict and that the US should have been searching for a way to live peacefully within a Soviet World, to understand what we should believe now!
