Tonight as a proud American, Christian family we are having fried Pork Chops with brown gravy for dinner.  One of my favorites!  This is my new yearly tradition.

..and its also that Muslim holiday Ramadan... striken to ride well within COC regs.

Ummm pork chops!

Yom Kippur today too isn't it...

Maybe to show how proud you are of being a christian American, and to show our proud tradition here in america of hospitality, and the proud christian tradition of hospitality and treating strangers right, you should go down to the local mosque and synagogue with your family and invite some muslims and jews to your house for pork chops tonight, so that they can be proud Americans too.

Deuteronomy 14:3-8

3 Do not eat any detestable thing. 4 These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat, 5 the deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope and the mountain sheep. [a] 6 You may eat any animal that has a split hoof divided in two and that chews the cud. 7 However, of those that chew the cud or that have a split hoof completely divided you may not eat the camel, the rabbit or the coney.  Although they chew the cud, they do not have a split hoof; they are ceremonially unclean for you. 8 The pig is also unclean; although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.

I try to eat bacon everyday.  Reveling in the goodness of bacon is like a religious experience for me.  I know that I am among God's chosen people, as he made bacon for me, and I think he probably denies it from the unworthy, leaving more for me.

In your OP you identify yourself as "an American Christian"
I suggest you take some time to think about what it means to be a Christian, and more importantly, what it means to be an American.

Hogwash.  Jesus came for ALL, not just for Jews.  That is why I eat pork, liver, rabbit...hell, there is very little I won't eat.  I draw the line at mountain lion as I heard today some people eat it.

But freshly slaughtered rabbit is some of the finest meat one can get.  And quite traif.

Acts 10:9-16

9 The next day as Cornelius’s messengers were nearing the town, Peter went up on the flat roof to pray. It was about noon, 10 and he was hungry. But while a meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw the sky open, and something like a large sheet was let down by its four corners. 12 In the sheet were all sorts of animals, reptiles, and birds. 13 Then a voice said to him, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat them.”
14 “No, Lord,” Peter declared. “I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure and unclean.”

15 But the voice spoke again: “Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.” 16 The same vision was repeated three times. Then the sheet was suddenly pulled up to heaven.
