Which do you have more of?
Yeah yeah boating accident blah blah blah just vote in the damn poll Edit to add (was doing too many things at once when I originally posted) Ok, the reason for the poll. Was talking to a friend about the lack of rifle traffic on a local gun trader board... For every long gun posting there are probably 2 handgun postings. I looked at the EE here... The handgun sale forum has 75k posts, and the combined total for rifles and complete AR15s is around 87k. So while there are more rifle listings (somewhat expected given the nature of the site) the numbers are relatively close, However, the data here seems to indicate that most own more long guns. At this point my theory is that people tend to hang on to their rifles due to the expense (even a fudd gun can cost as much as two handguns) and the fact that people put time and money into personalizing rifles to their liking, making people more willing to "turn over" their handgun collection. Basically, where is all the handgun sale volume coming from if most people are primarily long gun owners? |
