In question to people under the age of 21 owning handguns in Texas, it is my understanding that, persons under the age of 21 may not purchase them directly from a FFl, but they may be gifted to said person, or purchased privaately from one individual. Please correct me if I am wrong. The only reason I ask is I am looking to expand the WWII collection, and would like to avoid anything that may get me in major trouble And I realize there is also a handgun Forum, this is posted there as well, Im really trying to get an answer though so traffic is a major consideration on posting the thread in GD |

Definitely not true. You had better send those to me for safe keeping.... I will return them after you can prove ownership and legal age.

Quoted: I'm 19 and my mom gave me a Glock 19. It's perfectly legal. I also have a CHL from Texas (allowed for under 21 in the military) that I can use in my state of PA. Knowing is half the battle. The other half is getting a Glock. Might want to make sure about that. Some states won't honor another state's CHL if it doesn't meet certain conditions. For example, while some states will issue a CHL to people under 21, and Texas would normally honor a CHL from that state, they won't honor it unless the person is over 21, regardless of the laws in the issuing state. |
