The head of the Hamas military wing in the West Bank city of Hebron, Imad Kawasme, surrendered to the Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday morning when troops surrounded his safe house in an arrest raid.

Kawasme is suspected of dispatching two suicide bombers who carried out the August 31 terror attack in the southern city of Be'er Sheva in which 16 people were killed and 100 others wounded.

So they "surrounded" his safe house? Looks like it was a pretty thorough job of encirclement, judging from the RUINS. I'd probably poo my pants too if I was insided a house that just got blown to bits! I say we surround em all!

They have killed enough Hamas leaders that, if they wanted him dead, he would be.  
And they could have just sent a F-16 with a JDAM too, instead of troops.

IIRC the Army bought about 13 of the D9R's for use in Iraq and they are all over there, with one more here at FLW for training.

I get to play with it in a few days... they are quite a machine.

Actually, CAT has two bigger dozers (creatively enough named the D-10 and D-11)
The D-9 is as big as you can get and still be able to transport assembled.  The others are transported disassembled and assembled on site.  Once on site, they never leave.
The D-9 does just fine.
Hell, I had the older D-8s and I thought they were monsters.

Its running around the Million Dollar Hole last I saw it. It isn't even green, straight Cat yellow.  No armor or anything.

You can move the D-9 on a regular M-870/M-870A1 lowboy if you move the balde and ROPS on one trailer and the rest on another. In the civilian world they wouldn't let ya on that same trailer, but we get a little more leeway
