I finally got my scope dialed in today after adding a riser to my flat top colt H-Bar.

Once I got it shooting on target where I wanted it , I setup a metal spinning target I'd made awhile back. The target area is 4 inch square plate a half inch thick. I brought along an old can of white paint to make it more visible, put the paint was so old it wouldn't work. So I set the can in front of the steel target, first shot, miss, second shot (sitting on the ground at 125 paces) WHAM! The fricking can blew apart and flew about 20 feet to the left and in the process covered the 4 by 4 inch steel plate with white paint. Sweet!

This is the first time I've been able to shoot my AR with that kind of success.
Probably no big deal to most, but man I had a blast.

I assume this is the right thread to reply to.

Yeah, I just got an 18X BSA "Sweet .223" scope, and was finally able to get my holes touching at 100yds this week.  I was pretty psyched, too.

How do you like that scope? Does it seem to be fairly well made?
Just asking because I need to get one specifically for my AR. My Winchester wants it's Redfield back.

I love it for the price!  If I was fixin to get into the Third War for American Independence, I might want something a little tougher, but short of that, it seems real nice.  Plus, my range special orders stuff for me with VERY little markup, so I got it for like $120 (I think MSRP is like $169).

I put some quick release high rise scope mounts on it, and I have a GGG Accucam QD lever for my Eotech, so I can swith between them in like 10 secs with no tools.  Pretty groovy.
