Does anyone have a simple guide to writing simple HTML, like color of the text and size?

Sorry if you were offended by my response jrzy.  I was genuinely trying to be helpful.  I did a Google search on the phrase "HTML guide", and I immediately got back hits on over a dozen sites that had exactly the information you were looking for.  I apologize for not spoon-feeding you the information, but I responded to you the same way I respond to my kids.  Whenever they ask me how a particular word is spelled, I always respond, "D-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-R-Y."  Speaking of which, if you were to use a dictionary, you would understand just how ignorant your crack about my screen-name was.

I was just kidding Nimrod, but I am not one of your kids so don't patronize me with "look it up for yourself," I did try and check out google but I was getting errors for some reason, that's why I asked for help.
(That's what we do here ,help each other)
When I threw the dig about Nimrod it was how we use the term today as someone who is a bit jerky, not as the founder of Babylon, I would surmise that is where you take the name from?

In that case, I offer you my humble apologies, jrzy.  I'm the computer geek in my agency, so I wind up fielding a lot of questions, including many that could be easily researched with a minimal amount of effort.  It tends to make me a bit testy.

My mother used to tell me to look words up in the dictionary when I would go to her for help. Problem was I did not know how to spell it so I was unable to find the word most of the time.

See? That way you not only learned the meaning of the word, but also how it's spelled. At least that's how it worked for me.

Edited to add useful information:
