wow I just really cut myself bad while sharpening a knife. Its not bleeding cause its a sharp cut,, just scared what to do now !!!!!
Im keeping it still, no nerve damage as far as I can tell. What to do? |

I'm sorry, but what exactly is the point of this thread? 
Plenty of people have cut themselves before the internet was invented and alot of them turned out just fine.
My advice, put a band aid on it and finish the job. 
Maybe your the kind of person that gets infections easily (I'm the opposite) in which case don't listen to my advice. ETA: my uncle cut his forearm open with a machete and he wrapped up the whole thing in duct tape. Still has a nasty scar though. |
well I was scared as it was 4 cm from a big vain. Sorry I figured one of you knew something I maybe did not. I panicked and knew SOME of you were geniuses about this stuff. I came for help as I panicked. Its not bleeding but it was a deep cut. im just not going to put any pressure unless it start bleeding. I think my machete is sharp enough now Too baed I had to learn the hard way

I hope your right, I dont know how deep the cut was as the knife was moving when I cut myself:) but its a big knife. and thanks for the spelling correction:) |

If you are able to post this much on here you are probably gonna live... I would go in anyway, and get a tetanus shot if you haven't had one in the last 10 years. I had one last year, im doing ok, my hand is fine, I am going to go buy some more super glue and apply it. I just dont want it to open open. Im typing one hand. | If it hasnt bled in almost 30 minutes I'd say dont worry about it lol. I've cut myself pretty bad a couple of times (not artery or to the bone though) when I didnt have any insurance I just wrapped it up good until it quit bleeding, you will get a scare though if it is a deep cut. |
