Is there a Program or utility that I could use to automatically intermittently check the broadband speeds on my connection? I live out in the country and have a poor service provider. I am paying top dollar for service that is supposed to supply 3 Mbps but is hit or miss at best. I have called the provider probably 20 times to get them to check it.s. But... Honestly how much can you expect from a small service provider that can't even get their website right. In a situation like this, hard data rules. I am tired of paying for service over the past decade that I'm not getting. I want to ping the network and chart the speed across time. I will prorate my payment according to their delivery of service. I want to actually pay for what I get. For those folks that think "well, they paid for the line to get run to your house", you can stop here. I paid them to run the line out to my house. It wasn't cheap... Thanks!

So, I know what my speeds are when I sit down to my computer. I would like something that would run the speed test every hour without be having to do it manually. That way I could trend the broadband connection speed over time. The reason for this is that I don't want the company to say "it was working great all week".
