What would one have to do to be a certified gunsmith?

I don't know if there is an actual certification, and I am currently going to a gunsmith school.

Gunsmith is one of those jobs that anyone can say they are and they may or may not be qualified. There are some out there I wouldn't even want to clean my guns.

This is where I go Pennsylvania Gunsmith School

ETA: It seems they have reciently updated the website and portions of it are not online yet

Ah, so I can just brush up on a few techniques and try to get work if I wanted to.

Any schools anyone would recommend?

You'll also have to get an FFL when you start your business.

They say the best way is to apprentice under a good gunsmith.
