I saw a display case full of Sig 228s as I was heading out of the Valley Forge Gun Show. They're police trade-ins, in great shape with minimal holster wear. The triggers were unexpectedly awesome as well. I couldn't believe how smooth the DA pull was, and the SA was extremely light and crisp. There is a bit of takeup, but you get used to that after a few dry-firings.

Mine came with night sights and one 13rd mag. The sights aren't as bright as factory-fresh units, but still perfectly serviceable.

I took it to the range right away and put ~75rds through it. This gun is capable of some scary accuracy. The range I was at wouldn't allow any sort of rapid fire, but as soon as I can, I want to run this thing silly and see what it can do. It's an awesome deal for a Sig.

Very nice.  I have a 226 and honestly feel if I never owned another pistol in my life I'd be fine with that.  What did it cost you?

YOU SUCK !!!

Awesome find.

I once passed up a 228 with a bit of holster wear with 4 high cap mags (during the ban) for $375. I am still kicking myself for that.

Stop considering any buy one. I got a 1992 dated PD trade in 220 a while ago. I love it.

except for buying extra mags

Hard to beat a Sig for reliability/accuracy.

It's also the fastest way to make your G19 look like baked crap. It really puts it to shame in several areas. Trigger, grip angle, sight alignment, trigger, control accessibility, trigger...

Nothing unexpected about that.  Best out of the box trigger you can get IMO.  Now, get that 220.  Love mine!

Mec-Gar makes all of Sigs mags and then Sig prints their name on them. They are cheap and plentiful, good score!

Look for Novak Mags, they are just as good as Sig but a bit cheaper, I have a few laying around, sold the P220 a while ago after picking up a Kimber.
