Do you have a gun inventory program you can share, or know of somewhere I can download one? Needs to work on a PC. Thanks in advance. |

Is this the one made by the arfcommer? |

I wish I had that problem. I don't have enough I need to inventory them. I remember all 12 of them. Clearly I need more to purchase a said inventory system. ![]() The point would be to have an accurate record in case they fall off the boat or get stolen. All mine already suffered a tragic boating accident. Boating and guns is a favorite of ARFcomers. Sadly, accidents happen. |

Excel spreadsheet kept on multiple encrypted thumbdrives in different locations. Make Model Caliber Serial Purchase Price Purchase Date Purchased From FFL Transfer Comments It ain't that hard. This + High resolution photos of the guns and scanned copies of receipts. You can "hot link" photos in excel. I have a column just for pics. Text is "Left Side", "Right Side" which are hot linked to the appropriate photos on the drive. |

Just not sure it's a good idea for a non-dealer to electronically record gun stuff......on a notebook inside your safe,...maybe. This. I ain't digitizing shit for some hacker to potentially steal. Thanks ma96782 for mentioning my software. I am the author of nm collector software and am an arfcommer too. In fact, arf.com did a little write up on my software in their August 2010 newsletter (http://media.ar15.com/newsletter/1008/). I just did not promote my software on the forums like wolfrage was able to promote his.
I wrote this software with security in mind. It can run on a computer that is completely disconnected from the internet. No internet access is required unless you chose to download your copy from the internet or select one of the help files that exists on-line so I can keep them up to date. It is also designed to be run entirely off of a USB flash drive without installing the program on your computer or storing any data on your computer. You can take your data on your USB flash drive with you anywhere and easily lock it up in a safe or safety deposit box or whatever when you are not using it. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions. Sincerely, Clay Pryor nmCollector.net LLC |

And do what with, exactly? Try to sell you holsters you don't want? Some of you sound like my in-laws, who refuse to do online banking since they "don't want their financial information on the internet". I haven't gotten around to asking them how they think financial institutions communicate between themselves these days. To answer OP's question: I use Excel with embedded photos. |
