I have come to the conclusion that those elected officials who are advocating gun control are racist. Gabby Giffords, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Cuomo, Barney Frank, Joe Biden, the President etc... all 100%, dyed in the wool racists.
Hear me out on this. This group of elected officials have stood by for years as minority children in their districts have been gunned down by gang violence and did nothing to thwart the violence but give fancy speeches and lip service to the underlying problems. If you look at the FBI crime statistics for Chicago, home of the toughest gun control laws in the nation AND our President, the average monthly child murder rates are equal to or greater than the number of children murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The same can be said for LA, Washington DC and Detroit. At the end of the day, a dead child is a dead child whether they were killed by a stray bullet from a gang shoot out or a mass shooting in an elementary school. Where is the outrage about minority children dying? Where is the President advocating for these inner city children? Are there lives not worth as much as a white child from upper middle class Newtown, NJ? Are they not worth as much as a wealthy senator from Arizona? How about a theater full of mostly white patrons of a theater in an upper middle class neighborhood? The answer is racism. Not the overt KKK marching in the street type of racism, but the politically correct, liberal form of racism that assumes a certain level of violence and murder in our cities is ok because the people being affected are somehow less worthy than their white suburban counterparts. When crime happens in the city it is a part of life. When it reaches out into the suburbs, middle America and rich neighborhoods, well by golly, something must be done! Yeah, racism. |

They are not racists. They are elitists. They are our betters. We are people who cannot be trusted with the power. Only they, the all-knowing and powerful may hold this in their hands. In the echo chambers of Washington, they have convinced themselves that they alone have the absolute and final answers to every problem in the world. No other voices seem to permeate these halls and oaken doors. They are resistant to our cries for change. They are adrift, while we try to steer the ship. Sadly, there are many who would champion the cause of the American Black with the one hand, and seek to subjugate him as a useful idiot with the other. To keep them bound in a perpetual new serfdom. Have them believe that they are still a second class citizen, shackled by the white demon slave master of the 1860's, with his whip ever-present at their backs, and yet keeping them in a state of perpetual ignorance by forever binding them to failing school systems, and perpetuating a lifestyle where one is dependent on the largess of governmental entities to survive. That - is the Modern Democrat Party. And those who would claim to represent them and dare to speak the name of Dr. King - should be run out on a rail. |

If you check out "The Seven Myths of Gun Control" he actually addresses this issue. Focused on the media, but its for the same reason.
It about targeting groups. If they go all out trying to take guns away from people in low income, violent, inner city areas...who will they appear to be attacking. They will look like racists simply for covering the stories. Im not defending the .gov picking their battles in this way, but that is why they do it. edit: saying one thing and doing another essentially. |

Actually, after spending much time working as a contractor in the projects, most of these folks left slavery on a plantation, for slavery in the projects.
Sure, its different, they are paid not to become part of American society, instead of being worked to death, they kill each other off. The problem is, as slaves, they didn't have a choice, and now, they are pretty much fine with it as long as whitey keep payin' MO, fo' evry baby. We should criminalize the act of creating children if you don't have the means to take proper care of them, we criminalize smoking a plant, and it cost society FAR less than what the welfare armies do. Or, you start letting them starve, and hope the churches will step in and help out. In any case, we are out of money as a country, and, things will change some day, probably sooner than we think.

You have a point considering that many of our early gun control laws were part of the Jim Crow era and a way of legally denying blacks the use of firearms. Consider that in NC, you have to go to the local chief LEO to get a handgun purchase permit. This harkens back to the day when the sherriff could deny the permit jsut because he didn't like the look of you. |

If you wish to try to educate them, inform them about the French Black Code (mentioned in RROGC) as well as the fact that the words in many state constitutions concerning the RKBA were changed from "man" to "citizen" in response to events like the Turner Rebellion to exclude slaves. Well after 1789.
