NHC just put out the 10pm CDT advisory. Still forecasted to attain tropical storm strength before it hits Mexico. After that it drops back to a depression and drifts to the GOM. Supposedly might have TS Brett by next week in the Gulf.

ATM i seriously doubt TX will get much. This still seems to be a Florida problem by the end of next week. That being said there are a few models point toward TX. These things can and do change on a drop of the hat. Right now the i10 corridor between San Antonio and Houston is getting rain from the Gulf. If that can continue through next week we may end up with something.

Right on schedule. Hurricane season officially starts June 1st.

As DFW is at 20% of it's normal rainfall for May, (the rainiest month), we really need whatever rain we can get.

Come on, Arlene, let's dance.

Maybe it'll scare the fascist sheeple in Seattle and Portland. Hopefully many will stress out culminating in mass suicides.

Believe me when i say June 1st is circled in red on my calendar. I live to track the storms and compile the data. So much so that I am considered the go to person with the depts i work for when it comes to preparing for them. . Still though it's hard to believe that people live and work on the gulf coast or farther inland and don't pay attention till it's too late.

4 hippies in Washington will cry themselves to exhaustion while lamenting over the great loss of the old growth trees from a global warming induced storm.  And 2 snowflakes in Oregon will have to check into a hospital for sympathy depression for the tropic.

I used to be a member of weatherunderground's tropical forums till recently. Now every other poster on there is a liberal shit talker blaming Trump for everything a storm will or won't do. Sounds exactly like what the members of that site will be doing when one hits this season

Be very careful on what you wish for.* If * TS Brett forms out in the Central gulf next week it has a lot of warm open water to cross before hitting Florida. Almost all of the gulf states need rain bad as May has been an a dry month but having a CAT 1 or 2 storm bear down on them won't being doing any favors.

Well considering that graphic only applies if a crossover event were to happen then yeah .

A whole new graphic with models would be made if the TD 02E fizzles out over the moutains of Mexico and the moisture from that forms Brett in the Gulf. Confusing ain't it .

ETA: Here's the Midnight model run 00Z. Notice the TD 02E fizzing out over MX, Then Brett forms: 00Z Run

I could use a couple of "weather" days from work in Houston.  Hell some hobo pisses in the gutter here in Houston and 11 people drown driving off into it.
