I'm looking for something in particular...
-2" wide, preferably with 1" tapers on the ends
-suede lined
-chicago screw/lashing adjustment

If any of you remember the Mountain Leatherworks strap, Stew-Mac sold in the early 90s; that's it.

Or, if anyone knows of a place I can get one or two built?

In case you can't find the particular strap you're searching for, I have 10 of these (one for each of my guitars) and love them

Appreciate the recommendation... I've have had similar over the years...imo, none hold a candle to this particular strap. It's built more like a gun belt than a strap.

Yeah I see what you mean, that's a quality looking piece of cowhide there. Good luck with the search brother

Taylor has a lot of nice leather.

I found these a couple of years ago. Quality strap, stupid name.
I love them.

I've been looking around...Levy, Anthology, LM Products, Taylor
So far, LM Products: Rope Maker, Ball Glove Shadow, Holy Roller and Hidden Tail stand out. I really dislike the ladder adjustment on most leather straps. The buckle adjustments looks interesting. Don't know if buckle-rash would be a concern...
I can't figure out how the Hidden Tails adjust...

I want to get this for my daughter. Does anyone know if any of these companies stamp names on them?

Welp...
Ended up buying this at a local place for $40 cheaper than Stillwater.
Schaller straplocks were $10 more than Stillwater...

Not my first choice with adjustment, but it's quality, 2" wide and will match perfectly with my new guitar.

I also have a LM Products Baseball Glove Shadow on order.

Google "leather embossing".
There are lots of people who do it. You might get lucky and have someone local that does it. You might be able to get the tools to do it yourself.
There are also people who do general custom leather work, but expect to pay custom leather prices.
There's also turn around time.

My wife had one made for me a few years ago.  I believe it came from https://leathersmithdesigns.com/custom-guitar-straps/   I'll check tomorrow when I get home.

I got a clone of David Gilmour's leather strap from Jeri Hart. I know it lacks the tapers you want but damned if it isn't the most comfortable strap I've ever used.

I'm trying one of the recommendations here - Dat Strap.

So far it seems well built and comfortable, but is going to need some breaking in.  I may throw it in the clothes dryer for a few hours. with an old judogi.
