Even the Capital One Quicksilver card (which I now hate because they are on Discover's network instead of visa) gives 3% cash back on groceries and 1.5% back on everything else. That cash back really does add up over time and If you are diligent on making payments (the phone app makes it so easy) it doesn't cost you a penny, in fact you save or make money. |

Small thread slide but in my AO, I've noticed a minor reduction in early morning traffic. Right before Trump took office, 5:30-6:00AM traffic was awful. For the next 2 years, at least in my observations, my commute to work has been significantly better. It was a slow improvement but not something we haven't discussed at work. The work force has been self deporting or more recently ICE has made their presence known & removed illegals in large numbers. Still trying to figure out how the inflation rate is only 3.4%, when everything imported has at least a 10% tariff tax on it to start with. none of the refund checks have gone out from first round of tarriffs, and cost of living is a hell of lot higher than just the 3.4% from the same time last year. But hey, strait of Hormuz is closed, strait of the Red sea is closed, SA just had its pipe line to red sea straight destroyed and shut down it oil production that is driving the price of crud up even more, but someone instead of dealing with such, is off in Ireland golfing. P.S Unifiy Ireland is petty much stating to bring back the Troubles, with putting UK back in control. |

Inflation man - what a ride! Eventually it all begins to add up. Every year the inflation rate is above the rate of increase of your income just compounds the impact. Its gotta be 30% since COVID. I reckon we got a long way to go yet. How exactly do the populations manage in other countries with very high inflation rates? |
