The Corvette owns the WRX in the straights but the Subie driver does a nice job of trying to make it up in the corners..

As much as I was rooting for the scooby, the vette wasnt pushing it very hard. No tail wag and wasnt coming outa the corners very hard IMO>

Kinda waiting for a crash, or an ending, or something.

I'm no pro, but the Vette driver was definitely an amateur. His lines weren't very consistent and I kept wincing when he kept going over the roll curbs in the turns. Every SC'ed Vette I've seen was treated as a show car.

I'm not sure I believe that was a supercharged Z06 either, it pulled away about like a stock one should have IMO...

Are you sure that 'Vette was a Z06?

I tried to see, but I thought I saw a hatch-back, which would have made it 350BHP/365ft-lbs stock C05 verses 405BHP/400ft-lbs for the Z06.

The S/C, of course, would have upped those ratings.

Doesn't matter, it should have been able to handle the WRX with no problems.

Not a Z06.  At 5:49 you can clearly see a hatch window and their are no side rear brake vents.  A stock Z06 would've done better on that track against the sti.  Also I don't believe that vette was supercharger but who am I to say.

Where did that kid in the subaru learn how to drive ??
Get excited about beating the vette" and all of a sudden all the racing lines are gone.
You can guess what the tires look like.
