A Garmin GPSmap60 will do all that. I have one that I like alot. If you upgrade the map you can get turn by turn directions for driving.

Garmin is the name to beat in this space. Currently I'm running a Garmin GPS76 and I use MapTech for mapping my waypoints and tracks on my computer.

I've got an eMap that's racked up over 300,000 miles on it's odometer.

I've worn out the external power hookup, AND the springs in the battery compartment.

I've gotten my money worth.
