All I want to know is if I am going to get a check! I have stuff to buy before it goes up in price more!

Fuck that.  Nobody at arfcom paid me a dime with the last stimulus check - I pay a shitload of taxes.

I do agree it was BS that you weren't eligible if you made over "X" dollars, but being that we are married, had no kids, and were renting at the time, we got the shaft on taxes.

Well, here are a couple problems with this as I see it -

1.) He wants to create 2.5 million construction jobs to repair the infrastructure. What about the other 7.5 million jobless folks that don't work in construction?

2.) Most infrastructure repairs that are needed are in urban areas. Figure this one out for yourself. Remember "Chocolate City"?

3.) Who is going to oversee this project? HUD? Aren't they overextended right now as it is?

4.) Many of the millions counted as unemployed have no desire to work. That's why many of them voted Obama in to begin with. And when I say "them" I am referring to the unemployed. All they care about is getting their check every month.

5.) The package only helps the big corporations. If Joe the Plumber received a large contract, he's going to get taxed if he makes more than $150,000 on it. So, let's give his a $300.000 contract and tax him and get some back and do it over again to the next guy...
