I was watching TV last night and a Godfather's pizza commercial came on.  They have the guy that plays the Godfather's with his half-hearted joking comment about buying his pizza, or else.

I've always had a problem with this pizza chain's image.  I know, the guy's not whacking somebody during the commercial, but it really seems wrong that they're using a criminal type to push their product.  Seems stupid to bring this up, right?  But what if someone comes up with Gangsta's pizza or chicken and has a gangbanger-thug looking guy (of course no violence now) pushing the product?  Do you think your view might change?

Here's a pic of the guy that plays the godfather

I used to eat at the original 'Godfather's' in Omaha--Wild Willie's.  Willie Thiesen bought his partner out, changed it to Godfather's and sold a gazillion franchises.  It was THE place for beer and pizza after softball games.

Dunno about their ads but their pizza is pretty good for gas station-type setups. I wish there was one closer.

They could use Jesus Christ himself as a spokesman to advertize their "pizza", and I still wouldn't buy the crap.

Haven't eaten there in years.  I thought it was pretty good when I was a kid.

I vote "ban them" because the one and only time I ate their pizza I got food poisoning. When I went back to complain, they tried to give me coupons for more free food poisoning pizza... I said no and at very least got my money back.

That was one butt-clenching drive home.

I wish the chain would come back to Colorado.

I don't have a problem with the name or image. I have a godfather & he isn't a gangster.

I saw the owner's house in Omaha, private heliport.

Godfather's kicks ass as long as they put the pepperoni under the cheese. Not sure what's with the locations that don't.
