Getting ready for the game tonight. My department got called in to go to Lawrence and assist with crowd control. Hopefully they will have a good game and the fans will have a good time either way. I was down there in 2003 as well. Also realized I have to carry way to much stuff.

| Normal duty belt and vest is probably 10-15 pounds. A lot of it is going in my equipment bag for in case I need it such as the gas mask and some of the extra cuffs. Not shown is the riot helmet first aid kit (small) and some other stuff that I forgot to throw in the picture. |
Yeah well...no one likes you anyways!  I'm just jealous  I think I'm swinging on down to Lawrence after I get off work. I'll just harass all you JBTs until you realize I'm from arfcom

The Glock did not explode. I must be carrying it wrong or something. There were a ton of people on Mass St. I heard a estimate of 75,000 which I would not doubt. A lot of drinking and partying but very few fights or major problems that we had to get involved with. We mainly let people party as long as they behaved and didn't try to enforce the drinking in public laws and other things. Only had to break up one fight and managed to not have to take a couple of people to jail. All in all it was a good time and a decent crowd. The fact that a rain storm hit at 0200 when the bars closed helped move people off the streets for us and made our job easier. Travis |
Awesome! It's embarrassing when your fans act like complete asses. Does nothing but harm to the schools name and reputation. Of course, it helps when God helps you with last call.
