Went shooting @ Left Hand Canyon. I took my Glock 23; my JLD-PTR 91, and my cell phone camera with me.
Here's a gratuitous gun porn pic of the Glock:  Here's Nate, a kid that went with us - holding another fellow's Bushmaster. It had some kind of a compensator on it that seemed to turn it into an air-gun, the recoil was so slight.

I'll bet it was that damned y-comp. VERY good at compensation, in my experience, but you DO NOT want to be the fellow next to it.

I was the fellow next to it, and you are right on the money. I saw the backblast ruffle my friend's jacket! I shot my A2-equipped AR for the first time today - it easily tripled the felt recoil in comparison to the y-comped AR I shot at LHC last week.

You don't know the half of it. Every year, a Jeeper club cleans it up, as they don't want to give the lefty-enviro-types an inch of latitude. They complain that the shooters trash it within two weeks.  I always pack out what I take in. I wish other shooters brought my ethics to Left Hand Canyon; there are fewer and fewer places to plink in Colorado. |
