yeah.  and they're pretty tame...especially with most factory ammo.  there are a lot of old trap door 45/70's around, and most manufacturers don't load the round to its potential because some tard would end up blowing his face off.

that being said, in a ruger no. 1 it can be a fire breather!

buffalo bore makes some pretty hot stuff, too.  also, my lyman manual shows a 450 grain hardcast @ 1830 fps for 38.4K cup for ruger data.  no thanks!
