I remember reading about ST: Voyager before it came out.  And hey, the show even had a black Vulcan!  I told a coworker about it, he quipped, "What are they gonna call him, Mr. Spook?"

I went to a Trek convention in '94.  There was a meeting/session/roundtable discussion I went to where a guy on the inside of the shows' production was able to give a little info on some upcoming episodes of TNG and DS9 that were in production and hadn't aired yet.  He also had some info on the new upcoming Voyager series.  I remember him mentioning that there would be a black Vulcan, and the general consensus was "That's gonna be weird."  Turned out to be a non-issue.

And just like that, the Federation lost all hope of survival.

I actually have every variant of every card of that game except for one very rare set called "All Good Things".

I should have bought that stupid set a couple years ago when it was $600-$700. These days...

I liked playing it. Problem is no one else hardly played it.

I really spent way more than I should have buying all the cards I did but, I was bound and determined as a professional, mature adult to own the cards I couldn't afford as a broke ass kid.

Haven't touched it in ages except to sleeve all the cards as I bought them.

Well, it turns out he gave them all away years ago.  He was not pleased.  He freaking has the original nintendo we got as kids, but not binders of star trek cards.

'member... 'member that time when Tom Paris went to infinity speed, was in every location in the universe at once, and turned into a giant salamander and fucked captain Janeway after his tongue fell out?

That was neat.
